How to take aerator off faucet?

I usually wrap the teeth of channel lock pliers with electrical tape and unscrew it. The tape protects the finish of the aerator. If it still wont come off, try spraying with a penetrant spray and try again after waiting the required time. If that doesent work, try heating the aerator with a heat gun or blow dryer and then try again. Hope that helps.
 
Could be tamper proof you'll need a special tool to remove if so.
