My wife and I are closing on our first home tomorrow (2/19/08). It is a 66yr old Cape Cod that has been owned by the same person for the last 42 years. The house is structurally in very good shape just needs alot of updating. Im sure I will have lots of questions in the coming months, I look forward to learning/sharing here. Thanks!

We are glad to have you. I am just down the Ohio River about 125 miles then turn left for 20 miles to the confluence of the Green River and Rough River.
I can jsut picture one of those beautiful houses on Eastern Parkway.

Thanks! Closing went well today. I have already started painting and fixing. There is a long road ahead but it will be fun.

Glenn, where exactly are you located? Near Rough River?
 
Yes, at the end of Rough River. Louisvillians are most familliar with Rough River Dam and State Park, but I am much further away than that.

I am sorta familiar with the area, alot of my family is originally from that area. Many from Axtel.
