Hi all,
I'm prepping a brick wall for painting and had to reappoint some of the weathered mortar. I came back the next day and ran my finger along the new joints and the mortar just powders off when I rub it. Doesn't seem normal, does it? And I'm guessing primer won't stick to this.
I haven't tooled the mortar. Would that be the problem?
I used Quickrete Type S masonry mortar.
