Default Looking for scrap materials in Encinitas, CA

Hello,
I am collaborating in a project taking place in Encinitas to gather tools and construction materials to build a house for a family in need. The NPO that would receive the donations is called Corazon and they would be in charge of finding volunteers to build the house and assign the materials.

We are asking for scrap materials that you may have and would like to donate. All donations are tax deductible!

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Maria Sahukar

Not many of us live close enough to lend a hand, but good luck with the project. Perhaps you could keep us up to date as you go forward.

Thank you for your reply nealtw. We had our fist collection but didn't go so well... we'll have another next weekend and we hope that one goes better.

Have you contacted the Building Industry Association? Association of Building Contractors? San Diego Realtors Association? San Diego County Apartment Association?

Have you contacted any large local builders who might have scrap items from on-going projects?

Have you involved any large North County churches to become strategic partners? They have resources, manpower and contacts.

Hi CallMeVVilla,

Those are excellent ideas thank you! I am already starting to contact those associations as you suggested.
