So I have a concrete patio that is covered. The bottom wall that meets the concrete heaves at least 2" every winter. I am doing some insulating and smart board siding on the walls but there is a gap about 6" from floor to wall. I need to fill this gap with something that will move with the heaving as everything else has failed. I don't have a clue as to where to start. Any ideas? I thought about rubber?
 
Try to figure a way to have lowest board able to slip over the board above. Leave the board above short of the bottom. Then the lower board can slide up and down over the upper board.

ok so if I'm leaving the old 1-11 siding up I can lay a loose board so it comes up a few inches on the old siding and put the new siding over that which would allow the small board that is sandwiched in between to go up and down with the heaving...but I'm also adding 1" foam insulation board.
