Hello Philadelphia area do-it-yourselfers! Are you in the midst of home renovation looking for great how-to information? Are you planning to purchase and restore an older home? The Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia is pleased to announce two upcoming series of workshops in May for the owners, and aspiring owners of older and historic homes. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the best practices for selection, inspection and financing the purchase and renovation of older and historic homes, as well as great hand-on demonstrations of maintenance and restoration techniques. These popular programs are free and open to the public, but seating is limited and reservations are required. The workshops are presented in collaboration with the Fairmount Park Historic Preservation Trust, Cliveden of the National Trust, the Chestnut Hill Historical Society, the Germantown Historical Society, Historic Germantown Preserved and the University City Historical Society.
