That's quite a project! Nice work.

Good to see another "left coast" person on the board!

Cheers...

Way to go Patrick:
You have the job looking good and under control. I'm sure there are others who will have questions for you about the job.

On to the Hot Mop guy, Hardy Board and tile.

Floors follow, then It is hooking everything up one last time, trim and paint.

I can actually see the end!

Or is that an oncoming train?

Keep up the fight, your almost there. Then comes the hard part, deciding who gets to spend more time in there.:D

Well, it took longer than I wanted, we have several setbacks and an badly timed bout of the flu messed us up, but I am finally finished.

The final cost was $12k including every screw, nail and spot of paint.

We did go overboard on a few things, heck, we spent $750 on lighting alone but the results speak for themselves.

The shower was a huge job. In case you are eager to install 12X24 tiles like these, all I can say is; Have fun. They are without a doubt the most difficult tiles I have ever installed.

The flooring is amazing, well worth the extra few bucks it costs.

All in all, compared to the $32K I was quoted by a Contractor, I feel good about DIY for $20K less !

I really need a beer now.

Cheers,

The wood round the tile looks sweet, thx for the pics.
