Default hello from an improving DIYer

Hey everyone,

i'm an avid DIYer and like to tackle most of my home projects by myself (except when my wife says we need to hire someone). i like learning new projects and using new tools (the projects allow me to buy my toys). i've been in my house for almost 5 years now and finally gotten around to making changes to the house other than painting. i recently (and still finishing) re-doing the dining room, i put in engineered hardwood floor and put in new molding and trim, paint. i still have some finish work to do and put in a new chandelier.

i look forward to participating in this forum.
