Need help! Replacing all the hideous, worn out interior door knobs and hinges in matte black. Working on the farmhouse again. We encountered two original doors that are only 1 1/4 thick. All new hardware is made for 1 1/2” or thicker doors. Is there what I would call a giant washer type thing that we can put between the hardware and the door to fill the 1/4 gap? What do you call it? Where can we find it? TIA

They are titled lock backing plates, and are available in many finishes, so, ask at your lock mfg. web site cust. svc., to insure a color match.
