Hi ya. It's great to find such a wonderful, helpful online community focused on a subject near and dear to my heart. When I was a small boy, I always helped my dad who did lots of work on our houses (we moved around a lot). He also worked in the theatre, designing and building stage sets. I spent time with him doing that, too, and I ended up working in educational theatre for the last 40 years, designing and building sets with college students. Very rewarding. I just retired and am working on restoring a beautiful old house that my wife and I bought, something I really enjoy.
I look forward to staying connected with folks here on house repair talk. I know I will have lots of questions and hope that I can contribute some information along the way.
