Hi! I'm Catherine and I live in a 1901 Colonial Revival house in Lebanon, Ohio. We bought the house in good shape, but have been realizing just how shoddily some of the rehab was done by the previous owners who were DIYers. So, bit by bit, we're working our way through the house.

Last summer was a complete rebuild of the box gutters which were rotten in spots. We didn't attempt that one ourselves, but they did a fabulous job and we now have gutters that will last 100 years. I'll be dead, but my gutters will be wonderful.

This summer is an exterior paint job and the kitchen. I'll be spending Labor Day weekend (plus a few days) peeling off wallpaper, painting walls and cabinets.

All these projects, lead me to stumble onto this place which looks terrific.

Looking forward to joining in the discussions!

Hello Catie45036,
I hope I can help you out with some of your projects. I am a retired self employed home builder with 30 years experience on the job site and a disabled veteran. Saying that, I pass time trying to help DIY's like yourself. Just ask your questions and if you can - always include those pictures because they are worth the 1,000 words. Good luck on your projects and I hope I can help you in the future.
