Happy New Year And after a year of no work in my basement I am back at it. It’s all painted just waiting for a floor to be installed. I’m back on the why I need to screw the OSB down and why I would put a hole in the vapor barrier question? Thanks

Yup I added a vapor barrier then the DeltaFL then the OSB.

I forgot to add the DeltaFL instructions say to screw each sheet down with 6 screws. Drill a hole, add some silicone caulking and fasten the board down.

The OSB was just extra for warmth. My last house had a subfloor made up of something similar to DeltaFL and OSB and it was quite warm.

It was a couple of YouTube and DIY websites.

Still being debated. Top options are: Cork flooring; Laminate flooring; and Engineered hardwood.

Hi When my wife pulled out the ice maker there was a bit of resistance. Looks like as she pulled the tray out she severed a wire. The fridge immediately shut off and won’t turn back on. There is power to the outlet. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help. Alex

Hi The air filter and condenser coils are clean. The AC has been running almost continuously for a few days now and while the house is cooler I don’t think it’s as cool as it could be. I will try to check #3.
