Do you paint the concrete with any type of water sealant?
How do you insulate the interior? Foam board in the framing or insulation batts? YOu then mentioned a vapor barrier, where would I apply that or would the foam board (I believe it would be XPS) be the vapor...
I agree with looking into what is causing the water to get in to the holes from the exterior. Would you recommend popping out the holes and leaving them exposed during the spring rainy season to see were the potential problems may be and then investigate how to fix them from the outside first...
My concern about insulating in the inside also is I thought I would already have a vapor barrier outside with the 2" foam. By insulating and adding a vapor barrier on the inside, wouldn't I be creating a double vapor barrier, not allowing the walls the breathe either way?
I am going to renovate my basement but first I plan to permanently seal all of the tie rods holes (just skimmed over by builder). Was planning on knocking each hole out, pop a cork in leaving 1" void space, and then filling this void space in with Quikrete Water Stop.
