Concrete Block Wall, Masonry Cement and Mason Sand Ordering

I agree with you neal on that price, plus my trailer just has a bar a foot off the bottom so the sand would probably fly out on the drive back, lol. I'll have to go tomorrow and ask about the bags weight. Neal any comment on which type of mortar to use? "M" or "S"? The block wall is 4 ft...

Concrete Block Wall, Masonry Cement and Mason Sand Ordering

I am going to hopefully pick up the bag with the trailer I attach to my truck. It can handle up to 2000 lbs. I thought when masons order things there would be some similar language for the sand bags lol.

Concrete Block Wall, Masonry Cement and Mason Sand Ordering

Thanks neal, so based on what you just mentioned a 1/2 yard bag would only give 13.5 cu ft. Any idea why 1 places says they sell 1 ton bags versus the other saying 1 yard bags? Is it correct to assume that its the same bag?

Concrete Block Wall, Masonry Cement and Mason Sand Ordering

Hi everyone, Working on a small wall. I have ordered my cinder blocks and now I need to go pick my masonry cement and mason sand. I am going to be mixing my mortar since it appears to be more cost effective and less prone to being unworkable once mixed. The wall is 4 ft high and 1 foot is...

    DIY Insulation Blower Help

Good video Neal, with fiberglass seems like it needs to travel the 100 feet in order to fluff correctly. Now I'm left wondering if that holds true for cellulose as well. Might not make sense to build this out. If I can't properly fluff the cellulose I will lose r-value. I'll have to check the...

Basement Sump Pump & Dimpled Plastic Membrane Interior Questions

Hi everyone, I was hoping I could get some questions answered about my basement. My basement has a wall that has all this dimpled plastic membrane running along the floor. On top of the plastic seems like the poured self leveling concrete. The plastic runs all along the wall and then wraps and...

Best Way to Move Pallete's from Front of House to Backyard

Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some advice. I just had a shipment of stones delivered to my place. The truck driver said he couldn't get his truck onto my driveway and/or the grass to boom the stones into the yard. I need to get the stones off the front lawn (about 10 pallets) in the most cost...
