The two holes on the shaft end do not go all the way through. The four holes in the other end do line up with the grill. It's almost as though they forgot to tap.
The wires do match except there's no grounding wire.
I don't like the idea of trying to tap those holes. It doesn't make sense...
The four holes marked with the black dots are not tapped. I first assumed they were and I just needed screws.
With those not being tapped how the heck is this thing supposed to mount?
Nope, it's as simple as four screws. I'm having to replace the grill as well since that's all rusted.
The supplier isn't much help either unfortunately.
Maybe they'll need to end me a new grill if the design has changed?
I provided the condensor model number and serial number to a supplier and they sent me this motor.
But I can't seem to figure out how it mounts to the grill. The four holes you see have no threading.
Help!!!
Thanks!
The fan doesn't appear to stay on but for a moment after the compressor shuts off. Tried to youtube my unit but haven't found anything yet. So I'm wondering if the unit I purchased isn't compatible.
Thanks for your help!
I've attached two more photos from the original motor wiring. You can see the brown and black wires going into the bottom of the contactor. Blue coming out the side. The other photo shows yellow on the other side. It's actually the bottom yellow wire with the orange...
I also read in the review for the motor that somebody added a 24v relay. Not sure if it was addressing the problem I have but it could be? Or maybe I just need to return it and order OEM?
Installed a new fan motor. Old one works but was told by technician it is on its last legs.
New one is 4 wire system liked the old one. The old one all 4 wires were connected but the new one has two speed and you only use one so the other is capped.
However I've tried to wire it the new fan...
