    Concrete Patio

9 X 34, oh the joys of living in the city. :o it's true, but we do have grass in front and a 50x50 lawn on the side. And why will the grass not grow. There has to be a reason. Over hanging trees that need to be thinned out, poor soil ECT. a) I live in WA, so most of the year there isn't...

    Concrete Patio

I know this is more of a DIY forum, but I think this project is more than I should tackle on my own. Our back yard is really small (a little over 9"x34"). With our house on one side and a fence on the other 3 sides the back yard doesn't really get enough sunlight to grow grass well and I end...

    Building a desk

Thank you. I asked for the desk to be built 6 months ago and its not done. We set a deadline of 2 weeks, 4 weeks have passed. They haven't started on it yet. I have a meeting here within the hour to talk to them about it. I decided to bypass them completely and build it myself but now they...

    Building a desk

I am about to start work building a desk but before I start I know a few angles I will have problems with. I was wondering how do you find the angle if it is not a 90 joint? This is the general shape of the desk, the angles circled are in question.

    Lead Paint Concerns

I, along with 8 others, bought houses in a small subdivision from 1 owner. We went to repaint our cedar siding and found out we have lead based paint. The houses were built in 1977. We were not told about the paint at any time during the sale of the house. We have the POS from the seller...

    70's Duplex Needs updating

I just sent an email out to the other owners (7 of them) to see if we can pool some funds to get them all done. Should only be about 120.00 in stone material for each unit. How expensive is the metal mesh/tar paper? I'll have to include that in the cost.

Thanks! any idea if we could put the veneer over the current bricks veneer or if we have to tear those down? Also, is it hard to remove a brick veneer?

    70's Duplex Needs updating

lol, why didn't I think of that, lol. Ideally I think we would like a light (almost lime) green with white trim and a chocholate accent color. I tried a PS but the colors just look weird, lol.

What color would you paint the bricks? We are also considering trying to paint all the darker color something else, any ideas what would be an updated color?
