Opinions on a closet door solution

ok, i called johnson hardware. apparently full-access bi-fold on one side and regular bi-fold on a track for the other does not work. the doors won't match because you need 1 in of clearance for the regular bi-fold on a track, and the other door only needs like 1/2" so it'll look funny. BUT...

    Noob with questions.

wow...$40k for all that work? my father-in-law had to pay $20k just to replace his roof. granted, his house is over 2000 sqft and has an attached garage. my mother-in-law replaced her roof for over $10k and her house is around 1300 sqft. $40k for floors, roof, windows, electrical AND...

Opinions on a closet door solution

Yeah, I did try to submit an email to them through their website form, but I got some error. A phone call in makes sense. I'd have to know which bi-fold track hardware might work best in tandem with the full-access hardware. We currently have cove moulding across the top and sides, but it cuts...

Opinions on a closet door solution

Hi, I'm looking to see if anyone had creative ideas for a laundry closet door solution. Doorway is 60" wide, currently has 2 sets of 30" wide bi-folds (4 panels). I lose a lot of inches on the side that I would like to regain. I posted this hardware solution in another person's thread...

Adjusting Valves in Washing Machine Outlet Box

Yeah...I went ahead and got both the 45 degree elbows and 90 degree elbows and passed on the hoses w/the elbows. the elbow part just looked so darn skinny and flimsy on the hoses. I figured I should just have all the elbows so I could decide what worked better. Heck, it only cost like $30...

    Noob with questions.

How many sq ft is the roof? Cost of replacing the roof will depend on how much roof, what you want to replace it with. How many windows are there, and what kind of windows do you want to replace with? For floors, I was quoted around $8-12/sq ft with installation, depending on what hardwood...

    Removing built ins

Agree. We just took out some built-ins in our place. Take off the doors and take out any removable shelving. Then look for those little caps you put on the heads of screws. My guess is that it is screwed into the wall. Why not just put in shelves for storage? Or put in a small utility closet.

Silly question about a shower light

Does your shower light look like this? Recessed Shower Trim I just changed mine. If I remember correctly, I just pulled on the "dome" part until it came out. It's got springs or something attaching it to the housing. You just stick your hand in between carefully to unscrew the bulb and swap it...

    Kitchen Cabinet Interior Depth

I'd be mad too, but there is an easy solution for the plates. Plate rack My mom uses these in her dining room built-ins. Takes a bit of getting used to, but they work. There are racks made of other materials as well.

Q's about stacking a washer and dryer

okay...I feel really dumb, searching for so long for a solution that might actually be super simple. I found *this* Washing Machine Hose w/Elbow. We figured out after getting the dryer and a dryer periscope that if the hoses would lay flat against the wall, we'd be fine. What started as...

Adjusting Valves in Washing Machine Outlet Box

Hi, I need to adjust the direction of the valves in my washing machine outlet box to face to the right instead of being perpendicular to the wall. I want to stack my washer and dryer. I do not have enough depth to my laundry closet to have a vent periscope *and* all those hoses in the same...

Q's about stacking a washer and dryer

My parents bought a fixer upper when I was 4-and-a-half. I'm now 33 and they are still working on it. LOL I grew up living with home remodel, so I can stomach complexity and well...time overruns. That said, the electrician today said he'd put a flat plug on our washer and then replace...
