I would like to add that a room without a window, can be deadly in a fire situation. My niece was killed in the bathroom when the furnace blew up, the explosion didn't kill her but she was unable to escape the bathroom since there was no window.

I wouldn't use the glue, I would stick with nails.

99% of my experiance is with new new trim, in my house that I am remodeling, it has all oak trim that has multiple coats of paint on it. I want to restore the look of the original wood. Whats the best method to remove the paint?

Mothballs appear to help, seems to have thinned them out by about half.
