i had some sucsess with a heat gun...heat it up and scrape off,did it to an outdoor porch covered with that old style carpeting

a little off topic but mixing water with ashes into a slightly pasty substance is the best fireplace,woodstove glass cleaner i ever used.use newspaper to apply and remove then throw paper in fireplace

thanx just an update handle puller no good no set screw in on handle... finally got them off with lots of degreaser and a hammer was pretty much welded on from the years of use..parts are shot but trying to find new parts nit sure if i can find replacement cartrige

retainer screw removed ,tried everything to remove these old handles ,heat clr etc. no luck any ideas,not sure if you pull or unsrew them. fausets are probly 50 years old, would replace them but until i remove front hardware wont be able to remove devirter. dont wont to remove tile thanks
