I noticed a leak at the base of my faucet where the neck attaches to the base. It actually came unscrewed and I assumed that was the source of the leak.
But when I reattached the goose neck spout, it continued to have a small leak.
I noticed this white flange that was separated or broke?

Thanks. As you can see in the photo, I already have an outlet under the sink, so not sure if I need to install another with the existing dishwasher line. I don't think you can install an outlet behind the dishwasher and the existing line is too short to run under the sink.
Thanks. I will check into the flex and three number 12s Not sure what that means as I don't know much about electrical.
As you can see in the photo, I do have an existing GFI under the sink, but I 'm not sure if it's 20A. I know that the GFI itself is only 15A. Not sure if the circuit is 20 or...
I have a new dishwasher and the electrical cord will not reach the front of the unit. ( See Pic)
Can I simply attach a regular plug so I can plug it into the GFCI receptacle under the sink?
I just replaced the sink and the piping in the cabinet does not align with the new sink.
I plan on selling the house in the Spring and wonder if it would be proper and up to code to use the Flexi-pipes that seem to be gaining popularity?
I have heard of some that are not corragated inside, but...
I will put up new wall boards in this basement family room.
Behind the existing wall is the cement foundation. I am not sure if these vents are actually needed or not? They are the small squares you see on the wall.
Since I will keep the pine paneling and only put bluebaord over the top wall...
Thanks for all of your replies. I live in Massachusetts and want to sell the family home in the Spring.
I don't want this to be an issue when the seller hires a home inspection.
Greetings,
I noticed that I have a few of these vents in the crawl space next to the bathroom. There are vents like this one, all with black caps that are inside the crawl space.
Do they need to be vented outside thru the roof?
Thanks!
Thanks so much. I am gaining a lot from your experience. I am a novice so excuse the million questions.
Just to be sure. The baffles should only extend into the crawl space 4 feet from the soffit vents.
No additional baffles are needed until you get to the top of the knee wall which forms...
This an example of how the knee wall is insulated and the top of the knee wall is also insulated which blocks the air to the ridge vent. So, many extending the baffle thru the insulation to reach the ridge vent is necessary?
I have another piece of information to consider. The ridge vent is blocked due to an apartment over the garage. Similar the the photo below where insulation was put in where the knee wall meets the pitched ceiling of the room. In that case, should the baffle extend thru the insulation for the...
As you can see in the photo, there are 2 vents, one for the shower and one attached to the exit pipe for the sink.
They are inside a crawl space and I was wondering if they needed to be vented thru the roof?
I have seen many images like this one that shows soffit baffles only a couple feet high. Seems that the purpose of ventilation is undermined.
Aren't they supposed to go all the way to the ridge vent? If not, how long should the baffles extend?
Ok, thanks! Yes, this is a pic of an attic crawl space and the knee wall. So, I suppose I don't need any kind of vapor barrier? Just use the faced insulation with the paper facing the fiber glass shower stall?
Thanks!!
Greetings, I have a one piece fiberglass shower stall as part of a knee wall. See pic.
In the crawl space I see that the knee wall was insulated but they avoided putting any insulation against the shower stall area. Seems to me this area should also be insulated to avoid a cold bathroom and a...
