Dark will shrink a room, light will make it appear bigger, and for wall paper, I prefer none lol.

I might add I saw a commercial a few hours ago about pop up garbage bins you buy at your local Lowes or Home Depot type store then call a number to get a pickup. Now I'm not sure how it works past that, but if its just garbage, it might be something to look into.

Just be sure to still run the furnace every once and a while or you could get a mess. I don't know about a gas furnace, but the oil burning one we had when I was growing up was so under-used (and this was in upstate NY) that it actually cracked and no one realized it until our white cat turned...

Absolutely worth it. I would put one in a heart beat if I had the extra money. They provide great heat at a low cost. I grew up with one and if used properly, they are perfect, especially in the Northeast!

It doesn't surprise me. I called them once and got a high quote. It's true not all stuff is junk and in some cases they probably make a good profit but as the first reply said, I really think it is best to do yourself if you can.

I know it's not the same as replacing the cushions, but may help in the future, I saw something on an infomercial the other night about these products you put under the cushion to fix the sag. In all seriousness it looked like a piece of siding.

I could see charging for stuff left behind. Sometimes you can get useful things, but much of the time its just garbage takes up room or costs for removal. It seems like Nester got a good deal with his left behinds though! Putting things on craigslist seems like more trouble than its worth...
