    Long couches

As I understand it, the standard length of a couch is around 80 inches er so... but I'm 6'2'' and that just ain't long enough for me to be able to take a comfortable nap on. So, does anyone know of a good place to buy LONG couches online that also delivers (in the US)? Most furniture stores in...

    Septic maintenance

Thanks. I don't see any mention of Rid-X or similar products. And, I did see where it said toilet bowl cleaners are not a good idea since that material going in to the septic tank can slow down the organisms in the septic system. Does this mean those little blue thing you put in your...

    Septic maintenance

We just moved to a place that has a septic system and I'm hearing Rid-X is the stuff to use. How often and how much do I dump down the toilet to keep the septic tank good to go (I also heard it needs to be pumped out every couple of years just to be safe)

    Cover over wallpaper???

Well, I'm just renting... so it's not an apples to apples comparison. Not sure what the big deal is and why people even care... it's not something anybody here is going to have to deal with. Besides, in jn research on what to do about all paper, many use quarter inch dry wall and cover it all...

    Cover over wallpaper???

No, actually it's a personal problem for you... not me. The fact is, in life things are not always done to your pleasing and... gasp... it's not the responsibility of others to please you. Not if you want to pay to have this job done "right" we can talk... otherwise, no dice. Like it or not...

    Cover over wallpaper???

Sorry... it's not my house, the wife wants the wall paper gone (looks like it's from the 70s or 80s) and the landlord is not going to pay for it. Not sure about you, but I'm not made of money and I run my own business so I'm short on time for stuff like this so yeah, I'm gonna paint over it...

    Cover over wallpaper???

Sorry, but the next guy is not my concern. I'm simply wanting to keep the wife happy as she doesn't like the wall paper and I've already seen how you can successfully paint over wallpaper with minimal time and expense. Obviously it would be better to rip it off and make whatever repairs are...

    Cover over wallpaper???

This Zinsser B-I-N Advanced Interior Shellac Primer stuff is a heavy blocker that dries quickly and is being used by lots of folks to cover up wall paper. It's synthetic material so it's designed to not provide moisture. It dries so quick, you can paint over it after 45 minutes. They have...

    Cover over wallpaper???

I already asked him and he's OK with it as long as I take responsibility to pay for it and make it look decent... I was just watching some how to videos on Youtube on this and came across a product called "Zinsser Wallpaper Cover Up" put out by the manufacturer. It looks like Home Depot...

    Cover over wallpaper???

We rented a new house and in the kitchen it has some funky looking wallpaper and you guessed it, the little lady wants to change the look. Over all, the wallpaper is stuck to the wall nicely (secure, no bubbles) except for a few places around edges where it's coming off. Someone that does...

    Cracked Driveway

Hey, lemma make ya an offer ya can't refuse eh? I love all those mobster movies... if it weren't so dangerous, and the risk of jail time, and gettin whacked and all that, I might have been a mobster back in the day. I'd try to be honorable about it and fix the guy's drive way as to not bring...

    Cracked Driveway

Wow! For a moment there I thought you were going to say have the contractor whacked  You know, like they do up in Jersey. Can you imagine the mob pouring your driveway and it starts cracking? :nono: I think the moral of the story here is to get lots of references and go look at...

    Condensation in AC ducts

We don't allow relatives who are filled with hot air in the house... so, none. I'll have to check these items, thanks! I'll have to check these items too, thanks! Does this mean 24 hours without AC??? That might get me put in the dawg house unless this is done in the winter.
