    What's your Temp?

The problem with covid-19 is that you can be asymptomatic but contagious for up to a couple of weeks before you start seeing symptoms like fever. If you've been in stores or going to work all that time, you could have spread it to many other people.

Standard baseline for human body temperature is 98.6 degrees.

Have tried Amazon? They have a couple of Brinly carts. Maybe you'll find the wheels there.

Reusing the door from an exterior prehung

I've been told I can't remove the door from a fiberglass exterior prehung door and have it work in an existing opening without the casing that came with it. I want to remove it from the casing and just mount it in the existing opening, either with the supplied hinges or my own hinges. Can...

    sealant for Hardieplank

Thanks for the help all. Much appreciated. The DAP Dynaflex 230 is readily available at Home Depot and looks like the perfect solution.

    sealant for Hardieplank

Yes and I just noticed I pasted paraphrased caulk specs. Hardie's actual statement includes the words "permanently flexible".

    sealant for Hardieplank

Can anyone recommend a paintable sealant (by brand name) for the end edges where Hardie lap siding butts against wood? Problem with OSI Quad is it takes 7 days to cure. I need something that will be ready to paint within at most a 5 day lift rental. Frankly I'm having trouble translating this...

    install step flashing

Can anyone explain how step flashing should be installed at a roof-wall junction? Are the individual pieces supposed to be sealed to each other? To the roof deck? To the shingles? Also, what is the advantage of step flashing compared to a continuous length of flashing?

    new flashing at roof-wall junction

How do roofers replace flashing when installing new shingles at a wall-roof junction when the siding is up already? This is not lap siding - it's T1-11 sheets.

    Galvanic corrosion

I always thought aluminum and galvanized steel should not be in contact (e.g., galvanized nails in aluminum flashing), but the galvanic action table in the Florida code has them right next to each other (at least Aluminum 1100 whatever that is is next to galvanized)...

    Step flashing and siding problem

Thanks, those are great answers. Thanks for the code link also, but as always code generates more questions than answers. Do you know: Do you know how step flashing is installed? Option B/Detail C say nothing about flashing cement, although Option A/Detail B (for continuous flashing) shows...

    Step flashing and siding problem

Just found I can't leave all existing flashing - some had to be cut off, leaving only about 1" of vertical. Can I use vinyl flashing over it on vertical? How to tie to existing flashing?

    Step flashing and siding problem

Replacing sheet T1-11 siding. Old (rotted) siding at a roof to wall juncture is glued to the old continuous steel flashing with roofing cement. The flashing was installed over the siding. I need to remove the siding and the plan was to gracefully and quickly disengage it from the flashing, slide...

Sun's not on that wall yet, so I'm good . Thanks for the photo.
