    Tape Measures

I have one of those combination units with a light, notepad and tape measure in one. It is pretty durable as I have dropped it several times. Not quite sure what brand it is, but I'll check and post it up! Love it cause of the light and working late.

the big dead tree next door (kinda long)

I agree with DaveyDIY, your insurance company should go after them, and once the trees owner gets hit up by his insurance to take the tree down, you can bet it will come down. I'm sorry about the damages you had happen. Good luck!

Planning on buying an house with some "cosmetic" damage!

I would agree with HandyGuys, the house looks like it needs some serious exterior work done, but if your up for the project go for it. You may also have a million bug types living up in there jk lol. Good luck with your decision!

    Bar design/ideas

Do you already have the drainage / kitchen piping in your basement to accommodate or is this also part of your plan in doing your bar? What kind of them are you going for, I know a few guys who have gone all out with a sports theme, few neon signs, and the bar right as you come down the stairs...

Please consider this if you do any mortar touchup/repair!

Quickpoint is an excellent brand, we have used them before in our shop and have never encountered any problems. Good Choice with that purchase! Brandon

    Changes to waterfall-adding plants

I don't know about up on that shelf but you could always use floating planters for the pond below. Here's a pic of a nice one that would look good. http://www.bradshawsdirect.co.uk/public/pictures/products/large/OAFP.jpg I love what you've done with it, looks great!

Bedrooms directly off of living space

Me personally, I wouldn't like it very much. I've seen a few homes like that, and the one that made it work was a few of my buddies with a large game room that their bedrooms came out to. Not a bad place, but for "normal" living, I would have to agree, that would suck lol.

    Let's Talk Cordless Drills

Excellent example! - It's too bad we still have so many people being sucked into the $121 dollar hotel or (Drill) - It's time to use our brains! Thanks for the comparison Chart Wuzzat! :agree:

    Let's Talk Cordless Drills

Another addition to the cost of ownership would be replacing parts for small repairs. Not to mention if you ever need extra bits. I recommend Ryobi or DeWALT if your looking for high quality drills with some good batteries.

TV and a wood bruning fireplace

We have had a TV abover our fireplace for 3 years, it is gas powered and has vents that push the air down and out, but no we have not had any issues with the heat causing a problem for the TV.

    Welding cart

I like what you did with that Mig Cart. For $40 bucks isn't a bad deal. Just wanted to let everyone in on a newer model for about $45 bucks I found. You could find em on ebay for probably $40, but they look durable, and useful. Here is the link - Mig Welding Cart with Tank Storage
