The motor can not be spun by hand when the power is applied to it. As far as I can determine of the four spades coming out of motor, two are parked, one is for heat and the other is for cooling. Controller provides current to only one at a time.

Blower will spin freely and smoothly when there is no power applied to it. I can watch the blower and it does want to spin in the correct direction but it is only crawling, like one degree every few seconds. Trying to push it by wooden stick shows lots of resistance as if there is a giant...
Interestingly, the noise is exactly what they all make for fraction of a second before the blower starts and picks up the speed. At least that is how it was on mine since new. A youtube video explaining and cleaning the blower exhibit similar noise, once again only for a fraction of second on...
This looks like a great community. I am needing help getting my Trane XE90 blower working :-( I should probably create new topic so this community can help me.
My blower on Trane XE90 is not running. It makes horrible buzzing sound and tries to move but extremely slowly. Trying to push it using wooden stick does not work. It feels as if a strong magnet is preventing it from moving. When the power is off, it spins freely.
