    Fire Ants

    Just get a spreader and a bag of diazinon and spread your yard with it. If you do this on a regular basis your yard will be ant free. PLace a handful on each bed as you mow your lawn as well.

    tree stump how do I get rid of it?

    I take my reciprocating saw and about a 12" blade to stumps taht aren't too big. First I circle around the stump and get all the outreaching surface roots. Once I get them cut I take my pick axe and pry em all up. Then I take the same saw and just start trimming the stump down to below ground...

    Weeding

    I mulch heavy and since my recent knee surgery ( that stops me from bending over much), I now weed with roundup.     boring backyard & cinderblock wall

    wax myrtles are great, as well as ligustrum(sp?) shrubs. Both can be trimmed to desired height. Best to take a trip to yoru local nursery and ask them. Questions are free. Also you could plant some confederate jasmine along wall to cover it and release great fragrances into your yard.

    mosquito problem

    There are some plants that deterr "skeeters" . One is a citronella-plant of some sort, just saw one at Home Depot yesterday. I also heard that Marigolds deterr them as well. The dryer sheet tip I will have to try out but I usually just spray Skin-so-Soft on. It is in my opinion the best bug...

    Bamboo

    Bamboo is very invasive so plan on building some sort of border to control the roots. Also your neighbor on the other side of the fence may not be happy to see bamboo sprouts popping up on his side.

    Grass clippings for garden

    Newspaper works best for gardens. It is easier to work around plants than cardboard. Grass clippings can become toxic if used in huge quantities.
