    Help me in gardening!

There are a lot of resources for you out there to figure out what plants you could keep that are hardy. I think one of your best resources would be a plant shop. I would check in with local nurseries (if you have any) or maybe the major stores like Home Depot and Lowes. Tell them what you...

    Front storm door?

I know it's been a while since I posted this, but I've gotten busy with family functions. I swear...everyone was born in the last month lol. So yeah I think I'm going to go with a contractor...I just need to find one now. Everything was going smooth...the measurements...the cutting...until...

    Dang Rabbits!

Well...I don't have this issue...nor do I know someone who does...but I have been looking around the internet to see if I can find something to help. Most of the people have trouble keeping them out of the garden and the solutions for that seems very specific. However...one seems to be a...

    wriggly critters! keep or not.

Exactly...while doing some landscaping and overturning dirt I found a snake. Not sure what it was (though I looked up local poisonous snakes in my area and didn't see anything that looked like it) but it went underground and seemed to be afraid of me...so I'm just gonna forget and let it go on...

    wriggly critters! keep or not.

Garter snakes are not completely harmless. It has been determined that the saliva of the snake actually is slightly toxic. It's toxic to small animals that they prey on. For a human it can cause swelling or a burning rash.

    I need some other opinions...

I'm not an expert by any means...but I agree. It seems a little weird to have to go through the closet to get to the bathroom. However, I have seen worst. The house next to mine...if you enter through the garage...you need to go through the bathroom before you are in the rest of the house...

100 year old home - Time to get serious :)

Welcome aboard...I'm in a similar boat as you. I'm pretty new to doing any form of work like this on my own. I've asked a few questions here and have gotten useful responses that have been putting me down the right paths.

    Front storm door?

Alright, here are the measurements. Left to right, the door is 2 ft 11 in. Top to bottom, the door is 6ft 8 inches. I also measured from the beginning of the door area to the actual door which is 3 inches. I'm not sure if that makes sense or not...but it's the depth of the metal stand...

    Outdoor plumbing/pipe question

Ok...the pipe for the faucet comes from the inside of the house. However...I'm not sure where since I don't see a pipe on the other side. So it must be run through the walls or something. If you follow it down back into the wall, it seems to go into a water softener. The weird thing is that...

    Removing paint from brick?

Outside the front door to my house is this small patio area that has a small brick wall and gate to enclose the patio area. (house is U shaped with door set back so the brick wall basically goes across the U to close it in). Well...I'm assuming it's brick anyway just based on what I can...

    Outdoor plumbing/pipe question

Thanks for replying. Yeah this is a messed up job they did. In fact...that black stuff that you see on some of the pipes...from what I can tell it's electrical or duct tape. When the pipes go into the house...they both enter this thing I have in the garage, which I have not been able to...

    Bush Removal Costs

I had a similar issue...I had 3 holly bushes and a whole slew of other plants that were dead, on their way to being dead or were just poorly placed in the yard for what our plans are. So yeah...it was suggested that my father in law come by with his truck and we'll tie some chains up to it and...

    Front storm door?

I figured I was going to need those dimensions...I just forgot to do them before I left for work this morning. I'll do that when I get home tonight and post up the measurements. Thanks for the response.

    Outdoor plumbing/pipe question

Ok...attempt number 3 to post this. I keep posting it and it shows up with a message to fast for me to read and then brings me back to the topic listing. Going to try removing the picture since I can't seem to do much until I post 10 times. Hello all, First off I'm not entirely sure this...

    Front storm door?

Currently, my front door is just the one main door. I am interested in installing a storm door. I would like to do this because during the cooler, nice months, I would like to leave the main door open and the door to the screen room open so I can get a cross breeze going through the house...

    Outdoor pipe mess

Hello all, First off I'm not entirely sure this is the right place to be posting this. If I'm in the wrong section, then I'm sorry and an admin can feel free to move the thread. I have an outdoor pipe mess and am looking for some ideas/help. I took some pictures and posted them to an...

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah my wife and I haven't been together that long...almost two years married but we dated for something like 10 years...kinda like a college sweetheart type of thing.
