    double key deadbolt lock stuck

I know it's been a while but that's an Arrow brand deadbolt, if you can't turn the key you have to drill through the plate that's covering the screws to remove it

    My kitchen renovation

Cozy is a good term lol, the combined kitchen/dining area is 15x12 and the original kitchen would have had a full height wall dividing them with dark brown laminated cabinets, brown appliances, and some sort of 1970s colored counters. I'm trying to do as much of this house as I can with...

    My kitchen renovation

Since I'm nearing the completion of my kitchen remodel I figured I'd share here. When we bought the house the kitchen was a complete dump, wood paneling installed over the drywall, plywood covering the old back doorway after they added on, grease stained cabinets and nonmatching counters that...

    My first home renovation thread

Unfortunately my Mom passed away about 6 months after we bought the house, that's why there's so much stuff in it, I had to clean out their house, which was close to 3,000 sq ft because my Dad wanted to sell it

Thanks! First time my parents, and my GF for that matter, saw the house they couldn't believe I wanted to live there, but I saw what it could be, not what it was. First thing I did was rip out the wood paneling in the kitchen and dining room, as well as fix the central a/c of course!

The addition will be on the side of the house where the carport used to be and will feature a new master bedroom with french doors facing the front, pantry/laundry, and walk in closet

Back add-on, it's 2 rooms built onto an old patio...the floor slopes because it was an old patio but these 2 rooms are basically just used for storage anyway. Biggest thing I did was take out the massive sliding glass door Before: After: The washer & Dryer will be relocated to the...

Kitchen, I've tweaked the layout to include a dishwasher, this includes removing the wall next to the fridge....plans for the future Before: After: Bathroom, I had to rebuild the wall behind the sink and toilet because it had termite damage, I'm also replacing the tub with a regular...

    My first home renovation thread

Coming up on 2 years ago my fiance and I purchased a foreclosed Ray Ellison tract house in San Antonio. The house needed a lot of work, it had been worked on by some people who should be banned from using tools of any sort and had things like extension cords as wiring and plywood in doorways...

    Looking for this window grill

I have this type of door on my Cabin and I love the look...just so happened that the house I moved in to has the same type...the window was missing, I've put in some glass but I was wondering if I can still find the window grill anywhere? It's a fairly common door style and I'm just hoping it's...

    Want to see something scary

I was aware of all of this when I bought the house...all fairly easy to fix. The walls with the extension cord wiring were removed

    Want to see something scary

I will say this, when I first got the power turned on the living room light, which btw was a wall mount light hanging from the ceiling (see pic) with no box, just screwed to a ceiling joist...was live all the time and the kitchen lights were not able to be turned on...this whole part of the...

    Want to see something scary

I didn't do any of this...it was all in the house when I bought it...all the spliced in connections have been boxed in properly or removed, since some went to fixtures I removed. They weren't soldered either, just bent around the exposed wire.
