    I have been looking online for a specific drywall sanding tool, but havn't be able to locate it (probably due to the fact that I don't know what to call it). It's a thin wire mesh that stretches over a standard pole sander head. Does anyone have any dea what this product is called?.

    Their has been some localized rot on the joists where they approach the copper plumbing lines (Sweating). Yes, their is a vapor barrier on top of the soil.

    How to install counter flashing on field stone chimney?

    How would one go about installing counter flashing on a field stone chimney?. The mortar lines are irregularly staggered owing to the differently shaped and sided stones, making it difficult (maybe impossible?) to cut a groove in the mortar allowing the flashing to be tucked in. :confused:

    Wow! Thanks for the in-depth analysis in your reply Nestor. I have tried using vinegar but not combined with baking soda, so I'll take a stab at it using the two in unison first. If this doesn't solve the issue, we'll proceed on the polystrippa-methylene chloride route. Thanks again. :)

    Aluminum decking stain remoal

    Does anyone have any suggestions for how to remove sikkens oil based stain from newly installed powder coated aluminum decking?. We've tried varsol and white vinegar to no avail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :confused:
