Anyone know how to make windows...?

this is easy. Find a template for an Octogon online. Measure the size of the window you need and draw this template onto a large peice of paper, then cut pieces of wood you need to piece this together (8 pieces with mitre angled cuts, probably 20 degress or less). attach the wood pieces with...

I want to be a House Flipper.

P.S ...If its something you really, really want to do. Dont let anyone discourage you, but simply get all of your ducks (real estate license, contractors license, business license) in a row. Show them you are serious by taking the time to do it right.

I want to be a House Flipper.

it can be a very trying business. My Father in Law did several houses several years ago, just to make few extra bucks and he ended up barely braking even. first off....you'll probably want to get your real state license. This will teach you all the fees, cost, and other licenses you'll need...

Window and Patio Door is leaking

I'm not sure about window, but usually if your door is leaking at the top you either a) don't have a good seal between the door and the weatherstripping (usually felt or brush on a patio door) or b) you have a leak traveling down to the door opening above. on a day when it's raining get up...

you have several options for a finished look. Is this a ripoff?

also, dont be afraid to "dicker", most contractors that do good work will be willing to come down about 3 to 5% of their quote to get the job. Stay away from the ones that give really low quotes or are willing to cut their prices in half, this means either a/theyre desperate or b/ they dont do...

    Is this a ripoff?

ask for references, most contractors will have a long list of references that you can call to see if they are reputable and won't rip you off. Call at least 5 contractors and get prices per window...most will give you a price thats better for the entire job, then compare the single peice rates...

    Lock Installation

well, you should always install a deadbolt or any lockset to where the cylinder allows the key to inter the keyway with the cuts up. This allows the "pins" on the inside of the cylinder to fall down freely and not get stuck in the open position,. its only for security reasons though and nothings...
