    Is There A Classifieds Forum?

BTW, I already sold the filters on ebay, but would have loved to have offered them to this community first. Anyhow, it may be helpful to have it if the forum can support it. I'm a frequent visitor to AVSForum which has a classifieds area if you want to see how that one works.

    Is There A Classifieds Forum?

Columbia, MO. Does the Location not show in the left side under the avatar? I want to make sure I'm not inadvertently blocking that info. Thank you.

    Is There A Classifieds Forum?

I replaced my HVAC system a couple years ago and just found brand new filters for the old system that I no longer use as my new HVAC uses a different filter size. Does this forum have a classifieds section or a forum to sell stuff like this? I was about to put the filters on eBay, but...

bathroom sink stopper question - Pictures in thread

Hey guys, The retaining nut broke on one of my sink's assembly and I happened to run into this post which helped make this easy to fix. I ran down to Ace and got their generic kit and voila! Just wanted to say thanks.

Finding and Replacing Weatherstrip on Door

Thanks CharlieO. I appreciate the extra information. We have great weather today but didn't have time to do it today. Hopefully I'll have time the next time we have good weather. It's getting mild enough where I can take the door off, remove the strip and put it back on so I can take it with me.

Finding and Replacing Weatherstrip on Door

Hi, Yes, the pics are mirror reflections. Thanks for the info which looks like in the right direction. The door seems to have two parts: 1) The solid door frame which is 1 7/16" deep and 2) Another layer (the white-painted part facing outside) which is 11/32" deep. So just a hair over 1...

Finding and Replacing Weatherstrip on Door

Here are the pics. It looks like the current strip is just stapled to the door so I'll definitely have to remove the door to do this. Will I be able to replace with something that I don't have to staple? Some other friendlier way, for a lack of a better term, to mount it? The door...

Finding and Replacing Weatherstrip on Door

Thanks for the response guys. I didn't even know you can find the MFR on the side of the door, so I'll look. The door is actually pretty solid on the sides and top. The bottom is the only place I'm concerend with since it now has nothing keeping the air out. I"ll post a few pictures...

Finding and Replacing Weatherstrip on Door

I'm not very handy so please bear with me. My back door's weatherstrip has dried up and is falling apart. I've got a nasty draft and have a rolled up towel at the base of the door for now. I was at Ace Hardware and there were a myriad of different strips and wasn't sure which one to get...

    Is Quote Too High?

Thanks, yes, I've got another contractor coming out on Wednesday and will schedule one more after that. 30% is a really big chunk. I'm in the mid-west in the middle of Missouri. I'd have a hard time being convinced that the prices here are higher than in Southern California (So Cal, right?). ;)

    Is Quote Too High?

Thanks for the feedback. Does it sound about right for normal pricing or discounted pricing? I only ask because they're claining a big discount if purchased together. I will get a couple more quotes.

    Is Quote Too High?

Hi, I'm glad I found this place as I know nothing about HVACs. I hope it's all right to ask if a quote I was given is reasonable or too high. My HVAC was installed when the house was built in 1992 so it's almost 20 years old. I was thinking of replacing both the heat furnace and AC unit...
