    Casement Window Handle Removal

I was a little nervous about breaking it but could try that with a small flatip. It must have a clip of some kind maybe to stay attached. The reason for removing it is when I put in my interior window inserts this winter it will give me enough space to use them. Ordering from the site below...

How do you remove just the turn handle itself, this one doesn't have a visible setscrew? I don't want to break it.

    Infloor Radiant Heat

Sounds good, thanks for the input and post backs. I noticed that the new tank we just had installed a few days back was set to 120 so I have bumped it up to 125. The plumber who installed left it at 135 but i turned it down when he left but maybe i turned it down too much?

    Infloor Radiant Heat

I own a one level home on slab and is fairly open throught with 2 zones of infloor radiant heated via a gas fired hot water tank. One zone is usually set to 21 C or 70, the other anywhere from 18-19 C or 64 - 66 F. When I feel the floors that aren't warm but feel more neutral overall. If it is...

    HRV Operation question

I have an HRV that runs via a wall mounted dehumidistat. I turn the dehumidistat dial until it clicks to start the HRV, problem is it doesn't always startup. It can take a few tries but once running its fine. Any ideas what may be causing this. Not sure if it is the dehumidistat or the unit...

Is this normal and is it just a matter of sweeping the surface. Not sure if this mean's the application didn't go...

    Resurface front cement step

When I purchased this house a few years back there was a crack down the front step. Filled it in and it has held, now my plan is to recoat or resurface it so the patch job I did is not visible and it looks more natural. Not sure where to start as far as what product(s) to use. Is this a job for...

Install New Universal Ceiling Fan Receiver Remote Kit

All went well, the coil did not need to be connected to as it is either in the new receiver or not required. Black and white connected to black and now the fan shuts off; works on all speeds and the light works correctly. Thanks for helping out this non-handy man. :)

Install New Universal Ceiling Fan Receiver Remote Kit

So ordered a replacement/upgrade kit from Casablanca directly. Total cost was $136.00 and changes including shipping to southern Ontario address. Not too bad seeing the fan originally cost $900. Being plug and play easy install for a novice like myself.

Install New Universal Ceiling Fan Receiver Remote Kit

Decided not to try and wire a universal in but will call company directly and get their replacement kit instead. Should be much easier to install and likely less time wiring for sure.

Install New Universal Ceiling Fan Receiver Remote Kit

Decided to start a new thread on my ceiling fan. Well I removed the bad receiver as you can see in the images. The casablanca receiver is basically plug and play install but the universal ones for sale at the local hardware stores have alot less wires. The main question i have is how to wire the...
