Bathroom "Mini-Wall" only near ceiling-Can I remove it?

Agree with others above we had the samer situation with a shower stall same vintage bath. We removed the drop and created one smooth ceiling height across the entire bath...it did wonders for the look of space and light. Go for it...love the tile combo!

When can i over seed my yard?

When waiting till after Labor Day to overseed I would toss that bag of seed into a vegetable bin of a refrigerator for a week to give it a good chill...this will mimic the spring jumpstart you missed when you apply to the warm ground after Labor day. Remember to apply the seed starter...

    Brick stain and remodel questions

Hi I agree you will be amazed with what cleaning can do for the brick and I would suggest it for the roof as well. Look into a company that uses a "gentle enzyme power wash" Their equipment looks like power washing with different nozzels for different tasks such as driveways vs cleaning the...

    Using Formica metal laminate

Update now that office is open Formica's concern is the same as mine over time hot items could delaminate product from underlayment but an occasional setting of an item at no more than 250 degrees would be ok

    Using Formica metal laminate

M2178 Brushed Stainless Steel It is real metal but I think it still has a backing of some sort and that was my concern if a hot item would delaminate it even though the surface would not necessarily show a mark. The thickness is very thin and of course you would be gluing it onto a base. So I...

    Rhino Shield for house exterior

I usually do not plan on collecting a warranty...long story there ...I usually consider if I feel the product will suit my needs at the $ my wallet approves for as long as I need...if the warranty lives up to what it states it is a bonus...and yes we are in the area.

    Using Formica metal laminate

Has anyone used Formica brand or similar metal laminate for countertop material. I have only used it as trim or decoratively for door fronts. I was wondering if it would take an occasional hot plate or pan.

    Rhino Shield for house exterior

Is anyone familiar with this product? I understand it is guaranteed for 25 years and would have more color choices than vinyl siding since it is a paint with a ceramic component that makes it so durable. Was wondering if I should consider for a new house build not crazy about vinyl color choices.

Kitchen or bathroom reno - best bang for buck.

definitely the kitchen only reason it is just not functional, the bathroom may not be pretty but the layout at least works. I would do a mid price cabinet countertop to your liking rearrange stove and fridge and splurge on a working dishwasher. It will be worth every penny in the end. For the...
