    Kenmore 400 Dryer Problem

thanks fireguy, I went down and looked at the Thermal Cut Out Fuse abd it seems to be burnt. I pulled the wiring clip right out with the wire on one lead. That clip seems to be a little melted. Will get another one and try that. BTW, how freely should the drum turn? Seems to me to be a...

Our dryer started blowing the breakers last week. Would run for about 10-15 minutes then blow the breakers. After researching possible causes I pulled the heating element and couldn't find any sign of a break or snag. Thought maybe I had weak breakers so I got two new 30amps and installed them...

    Favorite Spring time Hobby

Suppose to be 60s and sunny here Sunday TX. Can't wait to go up to the park and look for all that lost change and jewelry. Have some old houses I know about from the 1800s I asked to hunt this winter. That sure slowed down winter quick.

    Favorite Spring time Hobby

I get the urge to go metal detecting in the parks looking for dropped coins and jewelry. After spending all winter inside its nice to get out and enjoy nature. I also like washing and waxing our 2007 Ford Edge of all the winter chemical and dirt.

    Noise down cellar

I would guess the toilet leaking or duct pipes cooling down like suggested. Both can make the banging sound andf at night when everything is quiet its more noticeable.

Which Concrete To Use on Piers

I am going to start pouring a couple of new concrete support piers in my basement pretty soon. I know where I want them, the sizes I need and how I want to go about arranging the forms. The one question I don't seem to find is which concrete makes the best piers and how long to let it set before...

    Support Post Footings

Thanks for the suggestions joe. I already tried lifting the beam last spring. That when I noticed the cement giving way under the jacks and supports. I just left the 5" cast iron supports along with the 3 new ones. I was using 2 jack but 3 sounds better for that length to me. I know things...

    Support Post Footings

We bought a 1927 two house a few years ago. We added an addition onto the back of the house to make the kitchen bigger. The kitchen was originally 6' x 8' and I was told the only way we could buy the house ( by the little lady) was make the kitchen larger. Well it is and its now 13'x15. We tore...
