Is my outside air fan necessary in the winter?
The insulation is between the ceiling joists thus I don't believe it is a sealed attic.- mjsylvester

Is my outside air fan necessary in the winter?
I just bought this house built in 1959. It has a fairly new HVAC system installed in the attic. It also has a separate register in the hallway about 4 feet from the furnace return air vent for a seperately controlled outside air fan.
