    Electric riding mower recommendations

ROFL! No, we're on former farm property that's irrigated. It's easy to grow bermuda grass on that, as long as you don't mind the inevitable weeds brought by the irrigation water. It's the people who like midwestern-type green "winter lawns" who cause themselves suffering in the form of effort...

    Electric riding mower recommendations

I think I wasn't clear when I wrote that! He just didn't want to ride all the way around to our big RV gate to get to the back lawn. If you access the back yard from the driveway, there are berms that keep the irrigation water away from the house. If you go in the back gate, you can zip around...

Electric! Hmmm..... The forum says my reply is too short. Let's try again: Electric!

No, I'm talking all-electric. Cub Cadet makes those (one example is http://www.cubcadetrztszero.com/) and so do at least one other brand I found online.

    sealer for shower stall

I thought the grout sealer was simply to protect the top surface grout itself from stains and mold growth. I didn't think it was supposed to stop the grout from cracking.

Are "latex-modified" and "polymer-modified" thinsets the same?

So this would be a typical polymer-modified thinset for tiles in the bathroom: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Custom-Building-Products-VersaBond-Fortified-Thin-Set-Mortar-White-50-lb-MTSW50/100091767

Do you have a Club Cadet? Which one? We are very flat here, although the person who currently cuts our lawn (he is being replaced by the mower) was just complaining that our berms are now too large for him to ride over. I'm not sure it's worth choosing a mower just because of berm-climbing!

Does anyone know where to buy this heavy tall plant hanger stand?

Thanks, but I don't think there's any need for me to have something custom made. There's obviously a company out there manufacturing these (the botanical gardens has at least three of them.) I just need to find out who's doing it.

Need help color coordinating with my white cabinets

You mean you're not sure if you want your white cabinets to have light or dark countertops? Join the club! I haven't decided yet, either (for my bathroom.)

Are "latex-modified" and "polymer-modified" thinsets the same?

I know in the past we have used "latex-modified thinset." Now when I go to the hardware store website, I see "polymer-modified thinset." Are they the same things?

Why not reuse glass shower doors?

Thanks for the responses, everyone! CallMeVilla: Those shower curtains are hilarious! As it turns out, our contractor suggested a curbless shower, and my husband really likes that idea, so we're getting new shower doors no matter what. But do not despair, people who like to reuse things: We...

    Electric riding mower recommendations

We're on an acre, so a riding mower is essential! Important features are a good mulching option and options for edging. Any suggestions for an electric riding mower that would fit the bill? We are not deciding based on price.

Does anyone know where to buy this heavy tall plant hanger stand?

Attached is a photo of a tall, heavy, iron multi-hook free-standing plant/display stand that I saw at the Desert Botanical Gardens gift shop. They don't know where their corporate office bought it, and the corporate office won't return my calls. I really need something very heavy and sturdy like...

Why not reuse glass shower doors?

We are gutting our bathroom due to mold behind our shower tiles. (Okay, that's why we are gutting the shower. We're redoing the rest of the bathroom just because!) Part of the remediator's bid is to remove and discard the frameless glass shower doors. But my husband wonders why people don't...
