I'm currently reorganizing and am looking for some cool ideas for a storage solution for threaded rod, brake, line, small tube etc. Doesn't matter if it's horizontal or vertical. Maybe an under the workbench design? Any ideas would be most helpful!

Before I paint a metal door, should I sand or prime it? I don't want to have to come back and re-do the job later either. Also if I remember correctly, I need to use latex paint, right?

I have some pretty hefty hooks that you screw into the wall, but the end of the screw that is supposed to go into the wall is flat. You can also twist the hook off of the screw and it's flat on both sides. So my question is, how am I supposed to get it screwed into the wall with that flat edge?
