    Race Shops

Get em in, get em out. It takes time to put it on a lift and lifts are expensive too. Plus you only need em for a few jobs like muffler and suspension work and even that can be done without em. Most speed shops specialize in engine and transmission work and a lift would not be used as much as...

Fire Extinguisher: $10. Still having your shop: Almost priceless.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Bushy, what a mess. Unfortunately, I am sure most of the mess is the smoke damage not shown in the pictures. It is nasty stuff. I have used TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) for cleaning up after a fire. It helps eliminate the smell that can penetrate deep into...

    Paint on coated floor.

I was able to remove most paint spills off my epoxy floor with a stiff bristle brush and soap and water. What did not come off easy I used a plastic putty knife on it.

    Powdercoating a Car Frame

Agreed, Bondo is best used for filling minor imperfections and unevenness (spelling?) only. Anything else should be repaired properly. Rust should be cut out and a patch should be welded in.

    Hiding/desguising appliances

There are many newer model homes with washer and dryer cabinets built in. If you properly vent the dryer you will have no problem there. The water heater and A/c are another matter as your particular units will need sufficient space to breathe properly ie.. You would have to check with the...

    Stair Storages

Usually stair structures are plenty strong as they are made to carry lots of weight. Just cut the drywall out, make a door and put it in, I've never seen a compressor in a stairwell but I have seen heavy equipment stored under a stairwell.

    Plastic Storage

My wife buys heavy Duty plastic storage from WalMart, pretty good stuff, plenty strong. They are about 16wX12hX24d, I think. She loves em.

    Rolling cabinets under workbench

UltiMate offers some rolling storage systems for the garage, and if that is too high there are some good rolling file storage cabinets that can be had for a reasonable price, usually at your local office supply house.

    Extra Tires Storage

I have a set of four original tires for a rare car I own, (I like big tires w/ shiny chrome) they fit under my workbech standing up. When I need that storage space I will stack all four and buy a tire cover for the whole lot and probably put something on it like a table top. I don't see me...
