    2009 Analog TV Signals

I had heard a while back that Google was trying to get the rights to them, I don't know if that is right or not. It looks like Obama's team is actually trying to push back the February 17th cut over deadline though, so perhaps kok328 will be able to use his TV for a little longer...

    Question on Air filter

I would suggest finding out the model number of your unit and either visiting their website or calling a dealer to find out the right size filter. They might even have the measurements printed on the side, but if not a dealer should know. It can be hard to get an accurate measurement, so you...

    Who should buy the materials?

Generally the contractor buys the materials, which as stated by kok328, removes an easy out for the contractor if the materials don't fit, but also keeps you from buying the wrong stuff. A friend of mine sometimes lets the customer buy materials, but it is generally only if he knows the person...

    Question on Air filter

Generally it is a good idea to change your filter once every month, but some models are designed to be changed less frequently. Usually most hardware stores carry them, but you can also have them custom cut if you need too. Are the numbers you provided your own measurements or were they...

What kind of things do you like?

I enjoy working on cars and computers. I usually have at least one car in my garage that I am working on to sell.

    Bath faucet Leak

Hey thats a cool guide gallo, I went ahead and bookmarked your site, because this is a common question and having pictures as well as instructions makes it a lot easier when you are trying to explain something.

    Faucet leak

I wish I could find a better picture, but this guide from Ace will give you an idea of how the faucet is built. Usually most hardware stores sell all the replacement parts including packing and washers. If you are taking it apart anyway and it is an older faucet it would probably be a good...

    Concrete porch problems

That is a really good point and something that I hadn't ever really though about, but have been guilty of doing myself on occasion. I will have to be more careful in the future.

    Lease toOwn???

I have not seen the commercials, but generally anytime you lease to own, you are at a disadvantage. From a Do-it-yourself standpoint, it often means that even though you are renting the house, you will be responsible for anything that breaks and from a monetary standpoint, it is rarely in your...

    Changing digital thermostat

Switching from a traditional thermostat to a digital can make a big difference. As Blue Jay said you only need to disable the breakers for the actual AC/Heater unit, but when it doubt it is better to air on the side of caution, so if you are at all unsure of which one it is, cut all the power.

    lawnmower help

It turns out my Husqvarna is belt driven, so probably wouldn't be what you were looking for anyway.

    lawnmower help

I have a Husqvarna Self Propelled Mower, the 675 Series, which from a mechanical standpoint is great, but the drive system leaves a little to be desired. I probably wouldn't go with another one.

    any ideas?

Do you have room to add new cabinets or perhaps a pantry?

    Laser levels?

I have always used the traditional bubble levels, but recently was working with a friend who had a laser level. I was pretty impressed with the laser level.

It would be nice if everything worked out like that :)

    My driveway sucks!

Recently I helped a friend who had a similar situation. We borrowed an old BobCat Skid Steer, graded the driveway and added several truck loads of gravel. It looks pretty good now and is a whole lot more drivable. As hondadrv24 stated considering drainage is very important.

    Home owner/ permits?

I am fairly certain that residential electrical work like you have described is technically supposed to be done by a certified electrician, so by inviting an inspector in to your home, you will probably have to lie or face some sort of fine. I tend to agree with kok328 that now that you have...

    Emerson Disposal

If you are sure that everything is moving then it is probably a bad motor. On the plus side though with a 15 years old disposal you/somebody got their moneys worth :)

    Mildew In Basement

I would suggest cleaning the mildew with a solution of bleach and water, this is very effective at killing it.
