This is the Hitachi saw in question: How do you adjust a Hitachi compound miter saw? (findanyanswer.com)
Before I chase the Hitachi site, I thought I'd start here.
The link has the obvious, user's manual, answer: When you _want_ to change the bevel for your desired cut.
I need to adjust the _unit_ because my unit when set to 90deg. is not cutting 90. And the bevel adjustment is at its max and won't go that tiny bit more. Its 90+ or - but not 90. No wonder my mitres have been so challenging.
Anybody know how to do it? I understand most of ya'll have probably never used the Hitachi. In general is the concept unusual/rare for saws? Seems like it would be a maintenance item (or a weekly check/adjusment) for a pro.
thanks!
