Hello, I started gutting a spare room to turn into a bedroom. The plan was to put down pergo.
I started pulling the carpet and assumed it was on a slab. It looks like some sort of tile? Asbestos? Idk. Anyways at some point the floor looks to have heaved and there is a crack running the length of the room.
So first, how or should I even bother to fill the crack, and second, in the area of the crack the floor is uneven by about 1/4 inch or so. Can I still put the pergo down or should I attempt to level it and if so, how?
I've attached a couple pictures.
As u can see there is a gap under the level because of the floor shifting.
