Thanks Snoonyb (you are faster than a trip to home depot). So unaware of the access needs, I would be better off with batt insulation to fill the void and air-leak proofing the joints (gaps!) and seals formed by the wood paneling around the tub?

Couldn't sleep, thinking about the floor eventually rotting away from underneath the tub.
In the image there is exposed cardboard on the floor protruding from the edge of the tub and wall in a newly assembled manufactured home. It was missed during the inspection. Can someone tell me if this is normal? It seems to me it's a setup up for mold and other problems.
