Exposed cardboard at tubs edge

In the image there is exposed cardboard on the floor protruding from the edge of the tub and wall in a newly assembled manufactured home. It was missed during the inspection. Can someone tell me if this is normal? It seems to me it's a setup up for mold and other problems.

The product may simply have been a surface protective, so, just cut and remove, then apply a tub and sink caulk.

Couldn't sleep, thinking about the floor eventually rotting away from underneath the tub.

As a muli-octagenarion, I understand.

However, If the tub is over the wheels, could be a momentary thrill.
