I never use used oil. It is old partial containers from what I have used elsewhere.

Bar oil. Engine oil will always be a 2 stroke oil.

I know there is oil specific for chainsaws. If I have opened, new engine oil that I want to get rid of, are there any grades or types (synthetic) that I should not use?

I have a propane furnace in my house. I realize that regulations may vary, but have you ever heard of it being legal to hookup a spot to connect a portable propane tank to a residential system that holds the 250 lb or bigger tanks? I am thinking more for emergencies.

Our single level house was built in 1930s. Since then at least 2 sections have been added making the house roughly square. We are considering doing an addition and are thinking of going up. Mt weed whacker died. With it being time to replace it, I figured I'd go to one that you can swap the tools out. Bang for buck, which brand would you go with? I am in Canada, if that makes a difference.

We have laws against unsightly properties. Once I find out who's it is, if it is theirs, they get told to do something, let me do something, or I call bylaw enforcement.

So, my new plan this year is to take the wood retaining wall down to where it stops bowing. Cut back the hill on a slope, matching the rest of the area, if not hallower, and then put sod down. That 4 foot wall now is 2 feet and should last a few more years till the transformation of that area...

I am building some stairs for my deck. How wide can you go before you need a 3rd stringer?

I draw from a lake for my water. A few days ago, water spurted out my tap while the pump was running. It is still winter where I am so, for due diligence, I raised the heat trace temperature. Hasn't happened since. Any ideas what caused it?
