I have had Indiana Limestone installed as the front stone for my home in a recent renovation.

It looked good until we put some overhead lights over it. Wanted to know what options I have to smooth or fix this issue (picture below). Can it be sanded smooth? does the mason need to redo each of the uneven pieces?

Talking to the mason we hired tomorrow, but I wanted to go into the conversation with some advice.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

I am far from an expert, but I think your stone guy will tell you that is how it is supposed to look and with a natural product that is the normal way it look. I think it would be really expensive to change.

The reason it shows as I’m sure you know is the slight angle of the lights and the shadow lines extending. Maybe a combination of ground flood lights with the overheads would work.
