Hey Folks,
I just had a new A-Coil installed because a leak was found in my old one. After installed the new coil, the tech put nitrogen into the system to do a pressure test. In about 34 mins, the pressure dropped 1.4 psi. The the brazed joints and outer fan unit was checked via soap bubbles but no leak was found.
He mentioned that this is not a big drop and does not definitely indicate that there is a leak. I think that this would still mean that the system is not closed, there is still a leak somewhere? Is this an accurate statement which was made to me? I'm just not sure.
