speakers

anyone know anything about car stereo speakers?

I have 2 Polk Ex series
Ex 602a 6 1/2'' coaxial 4 ohm speakers that have not stopped working but are very faint.

anyone know how to test them? i checked ohm at the wire connection

stereo is delivering 1.5 ohm with the radio on but volume down

checked ohm across both terminals pegged out..

thats all i know how to do

any suggestions?

I'm guessing you tried turning up the volume?

All I would suggest is to try using a jumper wire from the unit to the speakers. If the sound is still faint, I'm guessing your output is blown on the unit. Happened to me on my boat and nothing helped except a full radio replacement.

i figured it out. was not wired correctly

it was good with 4 speakers but when i added 2 more. nah!!!!
