I have T-11 siding that is starting to rot in places at the bottom. I do maintain a space below the bottom so no dirt, mulch or water can make contact with it.Pressure treated T1-11 is not available anywhere near here. Any one have a suggestion for preventing this from rotting?

Do you have a trim board at the bottom? If not, get some no rot PVC and trim the lower section of the T1-11 and add the board.

This is what Oldog meant.... Cut a line and remove the damaged and undamaged material to a height that will fit a piece of trim board underneath.
Then prime the cut underneath so this is less likely to happen again. This is the most important part. Sealing the cut,
Then install a metal z flashing or buy the piece in the pictures.
