WOW, 65 with meals. That's about where I started, 27yrs ago, but soon found that, that was a mistake, and found another provider.

We each metabolize carbohydrates differently, and for you, assisting your mom, it's going to be a learning experience.

You'll find that the visit with the specialist, will be an awakening.

You should go see a Functional Medicine Doctor and get rid of Diabetes forever.

Thanks, I'm going to look into it.
I'm rather concerned that Z's mom may not respond and how that may affect them financially, and how their property is held.

Welcome, here's a primer from arguably the most famous Functional Medicine MD, Mark Hyman.. I have paid attention to him for probably 20 years, and I show everybody this video that has any interest in it... In less than a Month, people can drastically change their health.

I can't contribute on the Insulin part because the only people I know with Diabetes never talk about it. (And won't watch this video or any others for that matter)...

Mom was told to take 65 units of her insulin with meals but to take half if her sugars are in the 100s range. Before the sun came up I went to check on her and she was sitting up in bed reaching for the phone to page me. Didn't feel well. Sugar was 35. I gave her a relion thingy to chew for emergency sugar and it worked. Sugar was 116 last time I checked.

One of my brother's co-workers asked to take his shift today so he obliged and was able to go with me to the local tire place to get the wheelbearing replaced. When I had it done at the Honda dealership they took 3 days and charged over $600 for just the labor. Tire place had it done in less than an hour & charged $75 plus tax. Last week the VSA & ABS warning lights came on. Someone told me that could be from the speed sensor breaking or failing. So, I might need a new speed sensor put on. Hopefully that would be inexpensive as well. But the truck no longer makes horrible noises when I turn, brake, reverse, etc. It was giving some resistance bc of the wheelbearing. It's weird to have it so quiet now.

I feel so relieved.

Picked up beef stew from a local place. Stew meat, gravy, seasoning, and some rice. Freshly made. Mom actually got out of bed to go into the living room to eat it and she enjoyed it. Fippy was spinning in circles knowing she was going to give him some of the meat.

Will probably take a nap soon.
When you meet with this specialist tomorrow, ascertain their qualifications, in that they are separate from the group of medical providers who recommend the 65units of insulin at meals, and are not a staff member promoted, too fill a spot.

You don't need to be aggressive, just insistent.

The provider group SP recommended has specific insurance requirements that do not fit us all, but it's still worth investigating.

Yall.... I have lost my mind having a good time buying these littles Christmas presents. I have bought tons, my best friend even got in on it, ignore the junk everywhere, I didn't clean this week while I was off because I was busy plotting, and shopping.

I haven't gotten to buy Christmas presents in like 10 years, my kids are grown and always want cash.

i will have to wrap all thise, clean like a madwoman, and cook Christmas Dinner all at the same time on Sunday.

Monday. I will just sit and drool. Lol

My daughter is going to record them opening stuff at her house.
I did save a few things back for them to open here also.

Cooter canoe!?
OMG, I'm laughing so hard I'm about ready to need some form of bladder control device right now!

When I built our bedroom closet, I decided to leave the door off. We had a door on our closet in the old house but we never shut it and it seemed like it was in the way.

Well, Ruby vetoed that decision and decided we needed a door. I didn’t want a swing-in door and there isn’t room for a sliding door so we settled on cafe style doors.

When we bought our house, the previous owner had left a four panel room divider. I took two of the panels off and cut 3/4” off each side making them14.5” wide apiece.

IMG_6600.jpeg

I cut down some wood strips to attach to the bottom and tops to make a solid place to attach the hinges.

I painted them white and hung them today.

IMG_6617.jpeg

They close via gravity hinges but will stay open when they go past 90 degrees.

IMG_6619.jpeg

The next project will be to put doors on this pantry area.

The opening is a little over 9’ wide. When I remodeled our bedroom, I took out 2 sets of French style doors that are 4’ wide each.

I think it should work out well.

Petty cool I like the look and the price was just right. Very creative.

All this talk about a "urinal", and I couldn't find a stand up urinal in the picture, like in public bathrooms... "Why would she have a urinal in her house"???

It was like a challenge to find the hidden urinal in the picture, even though they are 3-4 feet tall... "Where is the urinal"???

Then I read the posts below... HAHAHHAHAHAHA... I will forever hold my peace on my name for the Cooter...

And now of course I see the urinal, although in the Army, they have a wrapping around them that says Gatorade...

That's correct about the fragility of the core.

They're a 2 tube videos, and the 1st is disjointed and cumbersome. Here is the 2nd and parts;
Yeah. . .I'd hate to have to pay someone to do that job. It's a lot of labor. . .totally do-able though. I think it would be a good project for your son, Shan.

I think I would have hooked the hoses up and tested for leaks prior to putting the plastic around the heater core back together though.

The guy in the video said that water on the passenger's floorboard is a sign of a leaky heater core but it can be from a clogged drain in the A/C evaporator plenum too. Ruby's Mustang has that happen occasionally. I just stick my finger through the rubber flap on the drain (In the engine compartment) and the water and debris gashes out.

I love my son, he is kind and gentle at his core.... but he is also LAZY....
He isn't gonna work on it.

I am anxiously awaiting present Opening. I met the kids last night and they opened a couple. After they went to bed, I took the rest over there so that they could have Santa visit and be excited this morning.
