I have wood fireplace and hardwood floor. A year back, I saw the joining in between hardwood floor and hearth were showing some gaps so I used the Dry wall putty to patch it. However now those gaps are open again ( see the attached image ).
Any idea what material shall I use to patch the opened gaps ? Will the silicon or similar ( paint-able) caulk would be a good idea ?
